Ryan was born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming. Being the son of a Wyoming Game Warden, Ryan
spent his youth in the backcountry of Northwest Wyoming where he enjoyed
hunting and fishing alongside his father.
He learned to start colts and worked for a couple outfitters. He led summer pack trips into the Teton
Wilderness, and in the fall, he wrangled horses and guided hunters. Ryan obtained his professional guides license
through the Wyoming Outfitters and Guides Association. After high school, when Ryan wasn’t in the
mountains he attended Sheridan College.
After graduating from Sheridan College, he moved to Montana where he
went to work training horses professionally.
While in Montana Ryan met his wife, Katie. Shortly after they met, they started their
own horse training business. Ryan trains
cutting horses, cow horses, reining horses, as well as ranch and rope
horses. Ryan is an NCHA, NRCHA, and NRHA
professional trainer. Along with
training horses Ryan and Katie have run their own yearling cattle operation. Ryan and Katie have two children, Gus and
Ella.
Today, when Ryan isn’t in the office selling real estate, he
enjoys spending time with his family, training horses, and working on the
ranch.
